Advancing PrEP Access for Women in the South: A Conversation on HIV Prevention, Navigation, and Equity

Women deserve healthcare and prevention options that are accessible, trusted, and responsive to their lived experiences. Yet, many women across the South continue to face barriers to HIV prevention, including limited awareness of PrEP, stigma, healthcare inequities, and challenges navigating prevention services.

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, I will join the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC), in partnership with AIDS United and CPN, for PrEP Access and Navigation for Women in the South, the first webinar in a five-part series focused on strengthening HIV prevention efforts for women across the region.

This conversation will explore practical strategies to support healthcare providers, community organizations, and public health partners in expanding access to PrEP and improving connections to prevention and care. Topics will include community engagement, HIV testing, harm reduction, PrEP education and navigation, and addressing barriers that impact prevention.

Throughout my career, I have worked to bridge research, policy, and community needs to advance health equity and improve HIV prevention efforts. I look forward to continuing these conversations and collaborating with partners committed to making prevention more accessible for the communities we serve.
